Dinner with a Happy Few...

At Chateau de Montbrun, the castle lord and his family continue to spend their time in a patrician manner… hosting dinners for their friends and associates, while respecting the rules on social distance, with up to 5 persons at the table.

Obviously the pandemic measures are highly valued and taken in consideration before any gathering takes place in the main dining room.

Normally there is seating for 25 people on the large table, now evidently reduced to 5….

The table setting is a very serious concern whereas each time it has a different theme, depending on the chosen dinnertime ingredients.

Last night it consisted of a vibrant fuchsia linen tablecloth and napkins with luxurious 24 kt gold-plated crockery (exclusively made for the Montbrun barony by l’Ancien Royale Porcelain factory of Limoges in Aix sur Vienne), crystal “Bohème” produced glassware, sophisticated “Solingen” cutlery and floral decorations. 

All together, in the surrounding area with its antique tapestries on the silver-studded walls and golden candelabras with candles shining an exclusive atmospheric light on the party, this made a truly regal and distinguished touch to the marvelous ambiance of the dining ceremony.

As usual, the dishes were an exceptional gastronomic experience and a legacy of recipes from all over the world.

Possibly you will recognize some of the celebrities on the photo, who’s name and identity we must keep confidential for the time being; but please, if you do, keep this to yourself.

Let’s emphasize that a dinner in Montbrun Castle  is always a marvelous occasion and a delicious treat for the family’s friends and guests…

Nevertheless at this time of the world wide Corona pandemic, keeping 2 meter distance from each other, difficult as it may be, makes it still a charming and memorable occasion.
